On 04/23/2009, Definitive joined the American Small Business Coalition, a membership organization exclusively focused on supporting the development of relationships, best practices and market intelligence for companies doing business in the government sector.

On 04/03/2009, Definitive delivered a new IT Cost Estimating Methodology to a premier Federal Agency. Training is currently underway.
Definitive's Establishes Cost Allocation Plan Standard.
On 02/16/2009, Definitive established its corporate standard for developing Cost Allocation Plans, which helps State governments ensure compliance with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) A-87 (2 CFR Part 225).
Definitive Opens New Office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
On 01/07/2009, Definitive expanded its reach into the Southeast by opening an office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The office will facilitate Definitive’s growth in the Southeast, specifically in the strategic areas of state government, and health and human services. Definitive Delivers Phase 1 of High Performance Roadmap (HPR) at State of NC.
On 12/12/2008, working closely with the NC Secretary of Commerce and his executive team, Definitive delivered Phase 1 of a multi-phase, strategic initiative that the Secretary called “the most important project of his tenure.” Phase 1 was a rousing success, with the capstone being an all-hands presentation by the Secretary on the important foundations laid by HPR Phase 1. HPR aims to increase organizational performance in the areas of strategic alignment, cross-functional teamwork, communications and career development.

On 3/11/2008, Definitive was awarded a second competed contract with the State of NC, Department of Commerce to provide strategic management services. Definitive is running a Strategic Management Office (SMO) for the department to provide oversight and direct support to key projects and business initiatives on the Secretary’s strategic agenda.

On 9/27/2007, Perot Systems, with teaming partner Definitive, received an award for the Education Department Utility for Communications, Applications, and Technical Environment (EDUCATE) program. Work is anticipated to begin in November of 2007.
Definitive Awarded OCC Contract.
